Danvers Electric Division has a utility easement on the majority of the MBTA Right of Ways (ROW) with the right to construct, maintain and operate the Town of Danvers Electric system. These ROWs, due to the abandonment of MBTA Railroad lines, became available to the Town of Danvers for the recreational use of a Rail Trail system.
